Ngiba Font is a collection of unique typefaces derived from handwritten texts created by various members of the Ngiba community of Ahuatempan. Through a meticulous process of vectorization and digitization, each font preserves the essence and character of the original stroke, becoming a bridge between tradition and contemporaneity.

These fonts are available in a digital repository for public access: www.lostiemposdenuestralengua.com.

Anyone interested in using them must submit a brief letter explaining their intended use. This approach to ethical management, care, and stewardship has also made it possible to establish various collaborations, particularly in the field of poster production.

Additionally, artist Ulises Matamoros creates a variety of posters—pedagogical, poetic, or artistic—in the Ngiba language, which become powerful visual statements. These pieces not only express the voices and struggles of the community but also legitimize its worldview within a global context. The posters invite deep reflection on cultural resistance and the importance of preserving and making visible ancestral languages and knowledge in today’s world. They also issue an urgent call for cooperation—not only within the community but also across different worldviews, forms of knowledge, and sensibilities.
