In this work, Ulises Matamoros Ascención, manages to place a synthetic "solar" circle (made of nylon) in the center of a small lagoon in his community: Santa Inés Ahuatempan (Sierra Mixteca, Puebla, Mexico).
In this semi-desert region, the lack of water conditions (in addition to the distribution for human consumption) the cultivation work, since it depends on the cycles of nature, and the abundance or eventual scarcity of the rains. In the rainy season (when water becomes abundant) the artist places a "solar circle" over the waters of a lagoon, and leaves it floating without any other intervention.
Letting the rain cycle pass, the artist returns, to find a dry lagoon: it is when he proposes to look for the sedimented circle at the bottom of the lagoon already without water...
